We are working with a well-established organisation in London to find a Salesforce Tech Lead who wants to do more than write good code. This is a role for someone who wants to own the technical direction of a platform that genuinely matters to the business using it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This business runs a complex, integration-heavy Salesforce environment connected across enterprise systems and data platforms. They need a technically excellent developer who can lead from the front, working across product, technology, and business teams to deliver solutions that are built to last. You will have real influence here. The decisions you make about architecture, integrations, and development standards will shape how the platform performs for years to come.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

You will be the senior technical voice on Salesforce, equally comfortable deep in the code and leading conversations with stakeholders who have no idea what Apex is. End-to-end ownership is the expectation, from initial design through to deployment and ongoing support, in a modern Agile environment with proper engineering practices in place. Integrations are a significant part of this role. Experience across complex, multi-platform environments will serve you well here.

WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR

They are hiring for engineering quality, not certification count. If you are a developer who builds things properly, takes accountability for what you ship, and can bring others along with you technically, you are the profile they want.

You will need:

  • Deep hands-on Salesforce development experience across Apex, LWC, Flows, and APIs
  • A strong grasp of Salesforce architecture and integration patterns
  • A track record of leading technical delivery in Agile environments
  • Confidence working directly with non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern engineering practices

It would also be great if you have:

  • Experience with data platforms, ETL, or data architecture
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft stack including Fabric or Power Platform
  • Python or scripting experience
  • A background working across complex, multi-system environments
  • Salesforce certifications at Platform Developer II or architect level

THE PACKAGE

Up to £95,000 dependent on experience. Hybrid, 3 days in London. Permanent position with a collaborative, technically ambitious team.

How to prepare for a job interview at TekSelect

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If TekSelect uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
