We opened an office in China where we won a prize, and are fundraising to deploy a production line for our ALPHA humanoid. As such, we are seeking a Chief Robotics Officer (CRO) to join that leadership team. This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for leading the full robotics roadmap — from humanoid system architecture and AI integration to field deployment in waste-management environments. You will define the technical direction of our robotic platforms and build the engineering structure required to take them from prototype to scalable production.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the company's robotics vision, architecture, and technical roadmap.
- Oversee development of humanoid robotic systems for autonomous waste collection and sorting.
- Integrate perception, manipulation, locomotion, and AI decision-making into reliable real-world systems.
- Build and lead a high-performance robotics team across hardware, software, controls, and AI.
- Establish technical milestones aligned with fundraising and commercialization goals.
- Drive rapid prototyping while maintaining engineering rigor and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team on strategic planning and investor engagement.
- Represent TeknTrash Robotics in technical discussions with partners, customers, and investors.
Qualifications
- PhD in Robotics or Mechatronics.
- Proven experience leading complex robotics systems from R&D to deployment.
- Strong background in one or more of: humanoid robotics, manipulation, perception systems, controls, AI integration, or autonomous systems.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Strategic thinker with execution discipline.
- Passion for robotics applied to sustainability and industrial transformation.
- Mandarin (Chinese) language skills strongly preferred, particularly for collaboration with partners and investors in China.
