Electrical Plant Workshop Engineer – £40,000 + Excellent Benefits

About the Role
Join a hands-on engineering team where you'll play a key part in preparing, maintaining, and improving our market-leading plant equipment. This role offers variety, technical challenge, and the chance to work with customers, field engineers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Install safety systems, calibrate equipment, and test plant specifications
- Prepare plant for sale, including decals, testing, and paint touch-ups
- Complete PDI inspections on incoming and outgoing machinery
- Refurbish and repair older machines
- Diagnose faults and equipment defects
- Support field engineers with diagnostics
- Assist Training staff with customer engineering training
- Provide technical support to R&D teams
- Support Dealer network with maintenance and testing
- Maintain engineering, H&S, and customer service records
Skills & Experience
- Electrical engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive or plant systems)
- CAN bus knowledge (ideal but not essential)
- Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification
- Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship
- Ability to follow electrical and hydraulic diagrams
- Confident fault-finding and problem-solving
- Customer-facing communication skills
- IT and administrative competence
- Full driving licence
- Team-focused approach
