Electrical Plant Workshop Engineer – £40,000 + Excellent Benefits

About the Role

Join a hands-on engineering team where you'll play a key part in preparing, maintaining, and improving our market-leading plant equipment. This role offers variety, technical challenge, and the chance to work with customers, field engineers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Install safety systems, calibrate equipment, and test plant specifications
• Prepare plant for sale, including decals, testing, and paint touch-ups
• Complete PDI inspections on incoming and outgoing machinery
• Refurbish and repair older machines
• Diagnose faults and equipment defects
• Support field engineers with diagnostics
• Assist Training staff with customer engineering training
• Provide technical support to R&D teams
• Support Dealer network with maintenance and testing
• Maintain engineering, H&S, and customer service records

Skills & Experience

• Electrical engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive or plant systems)
• CAN bus knowledge (ideal but not essential)
• Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification
• Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship
• Ability to follow electrical and hydraulic diagrams
• Confident fault-finding and problem-solving
• Customer-facing communication skills
• IT and administrative competence
• Full driving licence
• Team-focused approach
