Are you an organised and proactive Stock Controller looking for a varied role within a busy industrial environment? We are seeking a Stock Control & Parts Coordinator to take ownership of our workshop stores operation, ensuring critical spare parts, consumables, and equipment are available to keep our recycling plant and mobile fleet operating at peak performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where you'll play a key role in reducing downtime, controlling costs, and supporting the maintenance of conveyors & production machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain workshop inventory, parts, tools, and consumables
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming deliveries
- Maintain detailed inventory and delivery records within the stock management system
- Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts, and full audits
- Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum/maximum reorder quantities
- Organise and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient stores environment
- Process damaged, defective, or missing goods claims with suppliers
- Safely move and store heavy components using forklifts, pallet trucks, hoists, and other handling equipment
- Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations and workshop safety standards
- Support maintenance teams by ensuring critical spare parts are available when needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in stock control, stores, inventory, or parts management
- Background within engineering, manufacturing, recycling, automotive, heavy plant, or industrial environments
- Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components
- Strong IT, organisational, and communication skills
- A hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while supporting a wider engineering team
