The Graduate Analysis Engineer will be required, as part of a team, to carry out a wide range of engineering analysis activities, to develop product solutions, and support consultancy scopes of work in the offshore energy sectors. The Graduate Analysis Engineer will be involved in optimising designs and developing solutions through mechanical and thermal simulation of components and systems, using software tools such as Abaqus and OrcaFlex. Emphasis for this role focuses on utilising Python to automate pre and post-processing activities to drive efficiencies in the analysis process. This role requires an ambitious and motivated individual looking to gain a range of engineering analysis experience and to progress within our Company. The role requires good interpersonal and communication skills and a keen interest in all aspects of the business.

The role duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • To learn, develop and progress within Tekmar under the guidance of the Analysis Team, underpinned by the determination and self‑drive to learn new skills.
  • Preparing analysis input data – liaising with the different teams within the business to ensure the most appropriate data is available and utilised.
  • Generate models and documentation to support the development and supply of components for the Subsea Industry. This will entail the building of analysis models, running simulations and interpretation of results, along with suggesting engineering solutions to analytical challenges.
  • Compile technical reports, results sheets and presentations.
  • Actively contribute to Project and Client Meetings where appropriate and required.
  • Engage in wider continuous improvement activities throughout the organisation.
  • Using scripting within analysis tasks to increase efficiency.
  • Support for the wider business Design, Engineering, Geotech and Project delivery teams.

General:

  • Perform all duties in compliance with existing legislation and company rules and procedures.
  • All other duties as required by the Executive management of the business.
