Working for Tekmar Group, the Finance Apprentice will support the Finance Team while undertaking a structured apprenticeship programme (e. g.

AAT).

The role will provide exposure to a wide range of finance activities, supporting the production of financial information and assisting with day‑to‑day transactional processes.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Assist with processing financial transactions in line with financial controls.
  • Support purchase ledger and sales ledger activities, including invoice processing and query resolution.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and cash allocation.
  • Support month‑end activities, including preparation of journals and reconciliations.
  • Help prepare basic financial reports and provide support with variance analysis.
  • Deal with a variety of queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance Team.
  • Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Provide cover for other activities as required due to peak workload or absence.
  • Uphold and live the company values and ensure compliance with procedures and policies.

Training Outcome

An opportunity for a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship.

Working Arrangements

Working week: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, flexible on start and end times. 7.5 hours per day.

Expected duration: 1 year 3 months.
