We are looking for someone confident on computer hardware, software, applications, networks, printers, and routers to undertake swap outs of IT services.
Duties:
- Attend field service calls on hardware/software troubleshooting, fault finding, installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of computer systems and associated infrastructure.
- Identify hardware and software problems by analysing symptoms, performing tests, and using diagnostic tools to determine the root cause of issues.
- Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
- Detect and remove viruses, malware, and other malicious software from infected computers.
- Install and configure antivirus software to prevent future infections.
- Maintain reports on repair activities and statistics.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Should be educated to degree level or hold an equivalent vocational qualification in a relevant field, or if not a degree holder, should be able to demonstrate relevant equivalent experience or industry certification.
- Familiarity with hardware components and computer architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
- The ideal engineer will have experience of quickly and effectively troubleshooting issues involving:
- Computer hardware/software
- Printer hardware/software
- Microsoft/Apple desktop and server platforms
- Microsoft Office
- Networking issues
- Internet Routers
- Firewalls
- Backup/Restore
Timing & Location:
Our shift patterns run from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm. Business timings are Monday to Saturday 09:00 am to 06:00 pm & Sunday 10:00 am to 04:00 pm.
