What will be your responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Direct the development and validation of complex aeroelastic models.
- Load Computation: Lead the calculation of flight and ground loads for the entire aircraft structure.
- Quality Assurance: Author and approve critical technical reports.
- Mentorship: (For Principal level) Guide and develop the technical skills of junior engineers within the team.
Profile and requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or defense, specifically focused on loads and aeroelastic behaviour.
- Education: Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable).
- Modelling Expertise: Proven track record in aeroelastic modelling; experience with landing gear systems modelling is a significant advantage.
- Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks within budget and timescales while maintaining high technical standards.
- Security Clearance: Must currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK SC (Secret) Clearance.
- Analytical Rigor: A meticulous approach to result‑checking and attention to detail.
