TekAlloy are proud to be working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business in our area. They are looking for CNC Machinists to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis on the Night Shift Monday to Thursday - Days only 6.00am-4.00pm. Joining a team of long servers and some highly skilled Engineers, the successful person will work on large one-off jobs and components, manufacturing a range of components for use in mining, materials handling, and lifting equipment. Overtime is available paid at enhanced rates.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select and use appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling for each job
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
Requirements:
- Experience working in a jobbing shop environment
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
