TekAlloy are looking for a skilled Groundcare Technician to join a well-established machinery dealer supporting leading equipment brands across the region. Our client, a recognised name in the groundcare sector, is seeking a hands-on engineer to support the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial equipment. This is a varied role that changes with the seasons – offering a great mix of workshop-based work in the winter and field-based service work throughout the summer. In this role, you’ll be working on high-quality equipment including ride-on and pedestrian mowers, compact tractors, woodchippers, and specialist remote-controlled machinery. You’ll be part of a supportive team with access to manufacturer training and long-term career development opportunities. This role would suit a Groundcare Technician, Plant Fitter, or Service Engineer who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and is looking to develop their skills within a reputable business.
Duties
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of groundcare equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across various machinery types
- Work predominantly workshop-based during winter months
- Travel to customer sites during peak season to carry out reactive repairs and servicing
- Support customers with high levels of service and technical expertise
- Work on leading brands including Toro, Iseki, Jensen, Ferris, and others
- Complete job reports and maintain accurate service records
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience as a Groundcare Technician, Plant Fitter, or similar engineering role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose faults
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills when dealing with customers on-site
- Full UK driving licence
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Stourport (workshop + field-based)
Hours: 42 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 16:00 (Overtime available at time and a half)
