About The Role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fully remote role within the UK, offering the opportunity to work on scalable, secure, and highly available systems. The role is open to candidates ranging from early-career to highly experienced professionals, with responsibilities aligned to experience level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
  • Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using modern tooling
  • Deploy, manage, and scale containerised applications
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to incidents and alerts
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to support the full software lifecycle
  • Implement security best practices and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
  • Participate in on-call support as required (experience-dependent)

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP)
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Kubernetes administration and Helm
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK)
