Overview

Sports Coach Level 1 or Level 2 — Casual role at Newton Abbot Leisure Centre. Level 1: £13.47 - £13.90 per hour. Level 2: £20.66 - £22.85 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and organise a wide range of sporting/physical activity sessions for children of all ages.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate sessions for all abilities.
  • Provide encouragement and support to children of all abilities, ensuring a fun and safe learning experience.
  • Demonstrate coaching experience and, ideally, hold a sports/leadership qualification.
  • Deliver children’s sports with a genuine passion for working with children; be open to introducing new sessions to the programme and share ideas in your application.
  • Work as part of a team; sessions are primarily weekday evenings (around 16:00 – 18:00) with potential for back-to-back sessions as the programme expands.

Requirements

  • Have previous experience in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate sports sessions for all abilities.
  • Be able to provide encouragement and support to children of all abilities, ensuring a fun and safe learning experience.
  • Have relevant coaching experience and ideally have a sports/leadership qualification.
  • Have experience in delivering children's sports and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to encourage and lead.
