Sports Coach Level 1 - Leisure Services

Sports coach Level 1- £13.47 per hour

Teignbridge Leisure- Newton Abbot Leisure Centre, Broadmeadow Sports Centre and Dawlish Leisure Centre.

Are you a high- energy, enthusiastic sports coach passionate about children’s health and wellbeing? We are looking for a Sports Coach to deliver and organise a wide range of sporting/physical activity sessions for children of all ages. You will have a sports/leadership qualification (or be willing to complete a training course) and ideally have coaching experience, particularly in dodgeball, pickleball, basketball & badminton.

What can you offer us?

We’re looking to grow our Junior Programme. Currently, our sessions are mainly weekday evenings 16:00 – 18:00 but there is opportunity to expand the programme. The sessions tend to be 1 hour however applicants could be offered back-to-back sessions.

We are open to introducing new sporting sessions to our programme so let us know in your application what you would love to deliver to our junior members.

• Can plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate sports sessions for all abilities.
• Can provide encouragement and support to children of all abilities, ensuring a fun and safe learning experience.

You are a Teignbridge District Council fit if you:

What we would love you to have:

• Coaching experience and ideally have a sports/ leadership qualification.
• Experience in delivering children's sports and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to encourage and lead.
