This is a full-time position; however, we welcome applications from those who wish to work part-time or job share.

We do things well and keep developing.

Are you organised, analytical and great at bringing people and information together? Do you enjoy improving how things work, coordinating projects and turning data into useful insight?

We are looking for two Projects & Performance Officers to join our evolving Programme Management Office. You’ll be a proactive and innovative individual with strong digital skills, who can help us strengthen how we manage projects, risks and performance.

This is a varied role where you’ll work with colleagues across different services, coordinate project activity, improve processes and help turn data and information into clear and meaningful reports. You’ll need a keen eye for detail, good communication skills and the confidence to manage several priorities at the same time.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate clear and effective communication with different audiences.

  • Enjoy working collaboratively and building relationships.

  • Have a logical and consistent approach, and understand the importance of data quality.

  • Be able to confidently collect, analyse and present project and performance information.

  • Be able to use Microsoft 365 confidently and have previous experience of using Power BI.

  • Have experience of supporting projects, and understand structured project management.

  • Have experience of working with performance and risk information.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience of working with Power Apps or other digital/process improvement tools.

  • A PRINCE2 Foundation qualification or other project management training.

We’re better together.

You will enjoy working together as part of a team to deliver our vision of making Teignbridge a healthy and desirable place where people want to live, work and visit.

We are an equal opportunities employer committed to a diverse and inclusive organisation. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of their age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, caring responsibilities, and socio-economic status. We also welcome applications from military veterans and their families.

We can offer:

  • Generous Local Government Pension Scheme.

  • Hybrid and flexible working with a mix of office and home-based working.

  • Free car parking (we also have close access to a mainline train station).

  • A recently refurbished modern low carbon office space.

  • Generous annual leave and wellbeing package.

  • Heavily discounted membership at Teignbridge District Council Leisure Centres.

  • Cycle to Work Scheme.

  • Opportunities for career and self-development.

  • 24/7 employee discount access and employee assistance support.

It is vital to read the job description and person specification for this role - it will help you understand whether your knowledge, skills and experience match the job requirements. In your supporting statement please tell us how you meet each of the essential criteria we ask for in the person specification.
