Overview

This role offers the opportunity to directly influence how infrastructure is delivered across Teignbridge. The projects we support such as new community facilities, transport improvements, green spaces, schools, and more, will make a lasting difference to residents’ quality of life. You’ll join a supportive team within the Strategy and Partnerships service, working in a dynamic environment where your work helps shape strategic growth and the future of our communities. We do things well and keep developing.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Infrastructure Funding Co‑ordinator to play a key role in shaping the future of our district. This is an exciting opportunity to help ensure our communities receive the infrastructure, facilities, and services they need. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the coordination and deployment of Section 106 and CIL developer contributions. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Council, Devon County Council, community groups and town and parish councils to ensure funds are used legally, transparently, and in ways that deliver maximum community benefit. If you enjoy working with financial data, managing relationships, and making a tangible difference to local places, this role is for you.

To be successful

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working with financial data and legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with complex data and information.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly, for example contractual and financial information.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and handle evolving priorities.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence engaging with partners such as councils, developers, and community groups.
  • An understanding of S106, CIL, infrastructure funding, or the planning system (desirable but not essential).
