Permanent position, 37 hours per week at Newton Abbot Leisure Centre/Dawlish Leisure Centre. Salary: £31,022 - £33,699 per annum.
We’re looking for a Duty Manager to join the Teignbridge Leisure team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the smooth running of our leisure centres. Your day could start with opening the building and getting everything set up, checking facilities, and ordering supplies to ensure our customers have the best possible experience. As the centre gets busier, you’ll keep everything moving – supporting customers, guiding your team, and making sure daily operations run safely and efficiently.
We’re seeking someone with:
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety and Safeguarding.
- Up-to-date First Aid at Work and Pool Lifeguard qualifications.

- Have previous supervisory or management experience.
- Have an understanding of the health and fitness (leisure) agenda.
- Be a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Enjoy helping people and supporting your team members.
- Be patient, level-headed and calm under pressure.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
