We are now looking for a talented and proactive Community Housing Advisor to join our dynamic team. Bring your skills, your ideas, your drive and help us shape the future of housing in Devon.
About the Community Housing Advisor role:
Taking responsibility for your own portfolio of properties, you will ensure that we effectively deliver our Independence Wellbeing Service to help our residents get the most out of life. Identifying tenants' needs and involving external agencies as required, to help them to continue living independently and maximise their dignity and self-worth. You will conduct health and safety inspections, report maintenance defects, complete risk assessments and undertake welfare checks to ensure our residents are safe. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37 hours per week.
About you:
We will look to you to operate proactively, making visits or calls whenever necessary, so we are seeking an empathetic individual with plenty of initiative and proven ability to get results without direct supervision. You should be experienced in customer-facing roles, passionate about working with older and vulnerable people, and capable of maintaining detailed and accurate records. Knowledge of tenancy management and the benefits system would be advantageous but it’s your ability to bring people and agencies together to deliver long-term solutions that will matter most.
