We are now looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll and Finance Coordinator to join our Finance & Investments Team. Bring your skills, your ideas, and your drive, and help us shape the future of housing in Devon.

About the Payroll and Finance Coordinator Role:

In this varied and rewarding role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and financial transactions for our internal and external customers, supporting the organisation's overall financial operations and compliance. Collaborating closely with colleagues across Finance, HR, and the wider organisation, you will ensure high standards of service delivery and financial control.

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.

  • Processing end-to-end payroll and maintaining records and lifecycles, including starters, leavers, and contract changes
  • Calculating statutory payments and deductions, including tax, NI, and pensions
  • Reconciling payroll accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • General finance support, including processing invoices, performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Experienced in UK payroll processing, financial administration, and working with finance systems and reconciliations
  • Knowledgeable in UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, pensions, and statutory payments
  • Technologically savvy, able to propose improvements and confident using finance/payroll systems and Excel
