About the Community Housing Officer role

Helping us deliver cleaner, greener and safer neighbourhoods, you will undertake regular inspections of our estates and actively address any property condition concerns, antisocial behaviour or breaches of tenancy condition. You will carry out two yearly Keeping In Touch Visits with residents in their home. You will be pivotal in working towards keeping the company compliant, by helping our repairs company to access properties for appointments such as gas safety tests, electrical safety tests and other statutory repairs and works required. You will be providing community charters and events for the residents in your area. You will assist our Lettings Co-ordinator, by completing viewings and sign ups for new residents and you will assist the rents team with home visits, plus many more tenancy management tasks.

Alongside sound experience of social housing, you should bring a proven ability to build good relationships with diverse customers and a demonstrable flair for meeting stretching targets. This is an extremely varied role, where no two days are the same, therefore being able to prioritise and being adaptable are crucial in this role. If you’re familiar with housing legislation, so much the better, but it’s your diplomacy, determination, desire to work in a role that helps others, and talent for problem-solving that will make the difference every day. This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.5 hours per week.
