Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Lead, EMEA to launch and grow Teifi's commercial presence across the region, with an initial focus on the UK and close partnership with our Netherlands team.
In This Role, You Will
- Own net-new business development across priority EMEA markets, with an initial focus on the UK and support for the Netherlands market.
- Act as the senior face of Teifi in the market, building trust with prospects, partners, Shopify, and early clients.
- Help establish Teifi's operating model in the UK, working cross-functionally with leadership on structure, hiring, and ways of working.
- Bridge sales and delivery, ensuring opportunities are well-qualified, well-scoped, and set up for successful execution.
- Work closely with the CRO, Delivery leadership, and Teifi's Netherlands team to shape market strategy, build the regional pipeline, and turn early wins into a scalable EMEA growth engine.
This is not a pure individual-contributor sales role, nor a pure delivery role - it sits at the intersection of growth, client leadership, and regional buildout. This role is for someone who wants autonomy, ownership, and the chance to build Teifi's EMEA presence from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Development & Revenue Growth
- Own pipeline development and net-new revenue generation across EMEA, with an initial focus on the UK and support for the Netherlands market.
- Develop and advance relationships with Shopify, strategic partners, and target merchants across Teifi's priority verticals.
- Lead consultative sales processes for complex commerce engagements, including discovery, solution shaping, commercial discussions, and close.
- Work in close partnership with Teifi’s Director of Partnerships & Marketing, who will provide support across partner channel activation, marketing-led pipeline generation, and content and events coverage.
- Client Leadership & Solutioning
- Serve as the senior client-facing lead for EMEA opportunities and early accounts.
- Translate merchant needs into clear, commercially sound scopes of work in partnership with Solutions and Delivery.
- Qualify opportunities against delivery realities, team capacity, and commercial fit.
- Represent Teifi's point of view on unified commerce, B2B, and complex implementations with executive credibility.
- Support proposals, commercial packaging, and negotiations with a strong command of value and risk.
- Maintain tight alignment between Growth, Solutions, Delivery, and Leadership throughout the deal cycle.
- Bring in-market client feedback that sharpens Teifi's messaging, offer design, and commercial approach.
- Ensure signed engagements are handed off cleanly and positioned for strong delivery outcomes.
- Build market intelligence around pricing, positioning, and buyer needs to refine Teifi's GTM motion in the region.
- Regional Buildout & Team Formation
- Help define the first-wave EMEA team structure, including roles such as solutions architecture, project management, and future growth support.
- Support hiring by identifying strong local talent and advising on the capabilities needed to scale the region.
- Work with leadership on the practical requirements of establishing and operating Teifi's UK presence.
- Delivery Alignment & Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner closely with the Netherlands and North American teams to align sales promises with delivery realities.
- Act as the bridge between EMEA clients and Teifi's broader organization during onboarding, project kickoff, and early account growth.
- Spend meaningful time with Teifi teams as needed to get fully immersed in our delivery model, culture, and operating standards.
- Revenue Signals & Executive Reporting
- Own EMEA commercial performance reporting to the executive team - tracking pipeline health, revenue progress, and the key signals that inform how resource and effort are allocated in the market.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in agency, consultancy, commerce, or digital transformation roles spanning sales, account leadership, partnerships, and/or delivery.
- Demonstrated success selling or growing complex service engagements in EMEA.
- Experience working with enterprise or upper-mid-market merchants on Shopify or adjacent commerce platforms.
- Strong commercial instincts; comfortable leading discovery, solution framing, scoping, and negotiation.
- Able to operate credibly with both executive buyers and technical stakeholders.
- Experience building pipeline through partnerships, direct outreach, and relationship-led selling.
- Comfortable helping shape an emerging regional strategy rather than stepping into a fully built machine.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, or building early-stage teams is a plus.
Soft Skills
- High ownership and accountability.
- Builder mindset with the ability to create structure in ambiguity.
- Strong communicator who can move comfortably between boardroom conversations and internal operational discussions.
Benefits & Perks
- Opportunity for professional development with training, certifications, and peer mentorship.
- Hybrid / remote working environment with meaningful in-person collaboration.
- Success-based compensation as part of the overall package.
