About the Role:

Tehy Care Group is partnering with NHS trusts across Devon, Somerset, and Swindon to provide QIS-certified Paediatric and Neonatal Nurses for ad-hoc short-notice cover, primarily night shifts. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate professionals who are passionate about child and neonatal care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to paediatric and neonatal patients, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of the children in your care.
  • Administer medications, manage intravenous lines, and monitor vital signs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers, to develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional and educational support to families and guardians of paediatric patients.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies, performing resuscitation and other life-saving measures as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all relevant healthcare regulations and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current NMC pin number.
  • QIS Certification (Qualified in Speciality) in Paediatrics or Neonatal Care is mandatory.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in paediatric or neonatal settings.
  • Familiarity with the latest care protocols, especially in neonatal intensive care and emergency paediatric procedures.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with the families of patients.

Requirements:

  • Local candidates are strongly preferred as no accommodation packages will be provided.
  • Ability to work on short notice, often for night shifts, with flexibility to cover last-minute absences.
  • Experience working in high-pressure, critical-care environments.
  • Candidates must already have been awarded Lot 1 under the RM6281: Provision of Clinical & Healthcare Staffing Framework.
