Are you a passionate FMCG marketer looking for your next challenge? We’re looking for a Brand Manager to join our high-performing Marketing team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of New Zealand’s most recognised brands as we enter a new phase of growth and innovation. You'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our frozen poultry portfolio, leading the development and launch of new products, and delivering category growth across Tegel’s key export markets.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key portfolio and shape its future success. As Brand Manager, you will develop and execute category growth plans, lead innovation projects, brief media campaigns and partner with Sales, Planning, RND, and external stakeholders to deliver market-leading brand and category initiatives that drive both commercial performance and consumer engagement.
From analysing performance and identifying growth opportunities to leading end-to-end new product development projects, you'll make a direct impact on both customer and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive brand and category performance through insightful analysis and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement category plans that deliver sustainable growth for both Tegel and our retail partners.
- Manage and optimise category portfolios to strengthen Tegel's position in its key strategic export markets.
- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through to launch and post-launch evaluation.
- Build strong relationships and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Partner closely with the Sales team to support the achievement of financial and commercial targets.
- Support the development of compelling trade and consumer marketing communications.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring a combination of commercial thinking, creativity, and strong project management skills. You will ideally have:
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years' FMCG marketing experience in a Brand Manager or Assistant Brand Manager role.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and delivering successful NPD initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience interpreting and leveraging IRI data to drive decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience within the Australian market would be advantageous but is not essential.
