Are you a commercially minded Financial Controller looking to take ownership in a high-growth SaaS business? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can influence strategy, improve processes, and drive financial excellence? Reporting to the Finance Director, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, maintain the integrity of financial information, and help drive improvements in systems, processes, and performance. This is a high-impact role offering real ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to shape the financial infrastructure of a scaling technology business.

You will be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with experience using Xero and advanced Excel skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Own the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including payroll, and VAT returns.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, monitoring, and working capital optimisation.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight, analysis, and challenge.
  • Translate financial data into clear, meaningful information to support business decisions.
  • Continuously review and improve finance systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and support statutory reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining internal audit processes.

Role Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing payroll and finance operations.
  • Strong understanding of tax, compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to partner with stakeholders across the business.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a SaaS or software business is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This role is onsite, 4 days a week based in our spacious office in London Kings Cross, a 5-minute walk from the mainline train station. Our office amenities include fresh fruits, a coffee machine, snacks, and a stocked fridge.
