Overview Transport Exchange Group (TEG) is seeking a Technical Lead – Mobile (Flutter) to take ownership of our mobile app ecosystem. We have presence in the UK, India and Ukraine.Responsibilities As Technical Lead, Mobile, you\’ll provide strategic and hands-on leadership across all aspects of mobile development:Technical Ownership & DeliveryAct as technical owner of all Mobile Team applicationsTranslate business requirements into implementation tasks, ensuring delivery against the definition of doneWrite clean, well-structured, testable, and performant code in Dart using the Flutter frameworkApply and enforce secure coding and architectural best practicesLead coding standards, review processes, and automated test coverageManage release cycles and deployments, ensuring stability and minimal disruptionQuickly resolve production issues, conducting in-depth root cause analysisDrive effective use of AI coding tools to enhance productivityMentor and coach team members through 1:1s and technical guidanceCollaborate with architects, DevOps, product managers, designers, and QA to deliver high-quality mobile solutionsChampion team focus on top priorities and proactively remove blockersRepresent the mobile team in senior technical discussions and planning sessionsSkills and Experience Required 10+ years of experience in mobile development, with 5+ years in commercial Flutter development2+ years in a technical leadership role, mentoring and guiding engineering teamsProficiency in native mobile development (Android or iOS) with 3+ years of commercial experienceExpert in Flutter architecture, state management, widget testing, and store deployment workflowsExperience with REST APIs, real-time communication (e.g., WebSockets), and microservices integrationStrong cloud infrastructure knowledge—Firebase and AWSSolid understanding of relational and NoSQL databasesProficient in TDD (and familiar with BDD) within Flutter environmentsExperienced with tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, and ConfluenceDeep understanding of computer science principles and mobile development best practicesExcellent verbal and written communication in EnglishExperience with CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Firebase CrashlyticsExposure to OneSignal and server-driven UI designDon\’t meet all the requirements?
