Technip Energies and their partners were awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the world’s first commercial scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in the Tees Valley in the North-East of England.
We are currently seeking a Site Planning Engineer to join the team in the North-East of England. The successful candidate will be site-based once the site office is established but will work at our temporary project office in Middlesbrough until then.
Responsibilities
- Develop the Management Schedule, schedule basis and assumptions document, Detailed Schedules, Critical Path Networks, 90-day front-end and look-ahead schedules and exception reports.
- Prepare and present project information to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure that scheduling control and progress reporting procedures are followed.
- Work closely with the project Cost Engineer to ensure cost phasing and forecasting aligns with the current control schedule.
- Identify all major events/milestones and critical interfaces.
- Support interface management for integrating scopes and stakeholders external to the project.
- Provide the necessary ad hoc schedules to ensure the development of proper estimates and studies within a project stage.
- Participate in the development and implementation of progress measurement and reporting system, including WBS roll-up levels, weightings and reporting.
- Prepare work breakdown structures, manpower histograms and S-curves.
- Review critical activity lists and proposed corrective actions.
- Update / produce weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards.
- Review planned versus actual resource levels and highlight areas of concern.
- Review Monthly Project Reports on physical progress and financial status for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
- Provide schedule input to and implement schedule elements of the change management procedure for proposed changes in the work and check that any approved changes are incorporated into the affected and relevant schedule documentation.
- Check that Construction Planning is consistent with commissioning requirements and, for example, that any systems that are required early are available in a timely manner.
- Act as primary interface with Operations Organization Activity Planning group at the detailed-planning level for Brownfield or interface scope.
- Attend coordination meetings, both within the Project Team and with Contractors.

Qualifications
- Graduate engineer or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of engineering design service contracts.
- Advanced user of Primavera Project Management software.
- Experience in performing, monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control and analysis in the field and the home office.
- Extensive experience in both greenfield and brownfield industrial or engineering projects.
- Good knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes for FEED and EPC projects.
- Experience with Risk Modelling packages.
- Computer proficiency.
