Can you embed best-in-class QHSE standards while supporting a fast-paced, project-led engineering environment? We’re seeking a visionary QHSE Director to lead the strategy, systems, and standards that safeguard our people, protect our environment, and ensure product excellence across the business. Working in close partnership with the COO and senior leadership, this is a critical role with real impact.

Are you passionate about creating a sustainable world? Imagine playing a key role in one of the biggest green energy projects on the planet. SeAH Wind is offering you the chance to join the world’s largest Monopile factory and contribute to the global shift towards Net Zero emissions. This is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to be part of something groundbreaking right in your own backyard.

The Role

As the senior authority on QHSE, you will develop and lead robust management systems that meet ISO standards, mitigate risk, and enable operational performance. You’ll oversee Quality, HSE, Project Quality, and Inspection teams—building a culture that empowers ownership, compliance, and continuous improvement at every level. This role ensures our manufacturing and fabrication activities are carried out safely, responsibly, and to the highest quality standards, supporting both our business objectives and our obligations to employees, customers, and the environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape and deliver a comprehensive QHSE strategy aligned with business goals and best practice. Work directly with the COO to embed benchmark safety, quality, and environmental performance.
  • Team & Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead, support, and develop the QHSE, Project Quality, and Inspection teams. Build collaborative relationships across Production, Sales, Procurement, HR, and more to align QHSE with operational needs. Promote a proactive culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • QHSE Oversight & Compliance: Maintain and improve certification to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. Own and lead the company’s risk assessment processes, incident prevention programmes, and PPE standards. Develop and maintain fire, building, and operational risk assessments. Provide structured QHSE training to all departments as required. Be the technical authority on QHSE matters.
  • Quality Control & Improvement: Drive COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) reduction initiatives. Resolve issues effectively and ensure all products meet or exceed quality expectations. Lead audit readiness and inspection activity across all production functions. Champion quality improvements using structured methodologies such as Six Sigma and APQP4Wind. Manage departmental budgets and monitor QHSE financial performance. Deliver regular reporting on compliance, quality, risk, and performance metrics. Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising standards.
  • People Development: Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing QHSE professionals. Foster a culture of personal ownership, continuous learning, and accountability. Deliver training, mentorship, and clear feedback for professional growth. Lead initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and environmental performance. Use data, metrics, and QHSE tools to identify inefficiencies and opportunities. Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging best practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree-level education in a relevant discipline (Business, Engineering, Quality, or HSE).
  • NEBOSH Diploma and/or Tech IOSH qualification.
  • Demonstrable leadership in large, made-to-order, project-led manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in production engineering environments (welding, fabrication, machining).
  • Lead Auditor certification and broad HSE qualifications.
  • Proficient in continuous improvement tools: PDCA, Six Sigma, VSM, 5 Whys, APQP4Wind.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills—especially in translating technical concepts to wider audiences.
  • Offshore wind or renewable energy experience.
  • Member or Fellow of a recognised professional institution.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing QHSE budgets.

Working Environment & Expectations

Site-based with occasional short international travel. Regular presence required in manufacturing and industrial areas. Must be able to move around and work safely in areas with machinery and fabrication equipment.
