We are looking for an experienced and competent Lift Supervisor to take responsibility for overseeing all lifting operations on site. This role is vital in ensuring that lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with both legal requirements and company standards. You will be the key point of coordination between Crane Operators, and the appointed person, ensuring that every lift is planned and executed to the highest standard.
On a daily basis, you will supervise and direct lifting operations in line with the lift plan, ensuring that all lifting equipment is properly inspected, certified, and used correctly. You will deliver clear briefings to the lifting team, monitor site conditions, and make adjustments when necessary to maintain safe operations. A crucial part of the role will be ensuring compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and all relevant health and safety legislation, as well as maintaining open communication with the appointed person and site management. You will also be expected to take decisive action and halt work immediately if unsafe practices are observed.
To succeed in this role, you will hold a valid CPCS Lift Supervisor card (A62 or equivalent) and bring strong knowledge of lifting operations, equipment, and safe working practices. Previous experience supervising lifting activities is essential, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. You should be confident in reading and following lift plans and method statements and demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
It would be an advantage if you also hold an Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) qualification, have experience in construction, heavy manufacturing, or steel works, and possess First Aid training.

Pay rates:
- Β£20.10 per hour
- Initially Mon-Friday 40 hours per week on days until the commissioning phase is complete; shifts thereafter.
- Continental shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off with 30% shift allowance
- 3 Shift: Days, Backs (15% shift allowance) and Nights (25% shift allowance)
- Enjoy 25 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
