To learn more about Team Teesside click here The School of Health and Life Sciences is now seeking to appoint to the post of Senior Lecturer Teaching Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) in Adult Nursing to contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice in the School of Health & Life Sciences. The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities. While all functions will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each role holder. The postholder will be a NMC or HCPC Registrant practising as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, holding a Physical Assessment Clinical Skills qualification and significant practical experience at this level. You should be qualified to postgraduate level in a relevant discipline or demonstrate equivalent professional qualification and significant practical work experience. You will have a demonstrable commitment to academic and professional development, with evidence of involvement in practice-based education, clinical supervision, or the supervision of advanced practice students. Applicants must hold, or be willing to achieve, a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of appointment, i.e. PGCHE or Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation. The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
