Teesside University is seeking a dedicated and inspirational Lecturer in Adult Social Work to join the Department of Psychology and Social Work based within the School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student learning, and shaping the future of social work education. Applicants must be a registered social worker with relevant professional experience in adult services.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging teaching in adult social work across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
  • Contribute to curriculum design, development and assessment
  • Support students through academic guidance and pastoral care
  • Undertake research and scholarly activity within social work practice
  • Build strong links with external partners and professional networks

Employment Conditions

Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures. Please note that the University may ask you to participate in a number of selection activities as part of the recruitment process for this vacancy.
