This position forms part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme, funded in part by Innovate UK. It is essential you understand how KTP works with business and university partners, and the vital role you will play if you successfully secure a KTP Associate position.

The business partner, Exwold Technology Ltd, is a progressive and growing contract chemical processing company based in Hartlepool. They specialise in formulation and processing for the crop protection and speciality chemicals markets.

This position is initially for a 36‑month fixed‑term contract. Although you will be employed by Teesside University you will be working at the business partner premises day to day.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop an AI‑enabled digital twin platform that models, monitors, and optimises Exwold Technology Ltd's chemical manufacturing processes in real time to improve efficiency.
  • Embed data analytics and predictive maintenance to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
