We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Disability Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in delivering our Access and Participation Plan as well as one to one support to students. This is a vital role supporting disabled students, improving access, and ensuring legal compliance across the university.

The post holder should have

  • Strong understanding of the Equality Act and its application in higher education
  • Experience supporting disabled individuals, ideally in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff
  • Proven ability to manage caseloads and prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Skill in problem-solving and applying reasonable adjustments in a timely, student-focused way
  • Confidence in using data and systems to support decision-making and service delivery
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity and a whole university approach to disability inclusion
  • Empathy, discretion, and a student-centred mindset
