Role Summary: We’re looking for someone to help grow our HR department. This opportunity is to provide administrative support to the HR Team, which will help us to ensure our services are visible and that they support our employees and volunteer communities who play an essential part here at Team Teesside.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include working with the HR team on different projects, including (but not limited to):

  • Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers and employees
  • Entering employment and volunteer data into the organisation’s database
  • Organising meetings and taking minutes
  • Setting up recruitment and training events
  • Answering any employee inquiries
  • Updating employee holiday and sickness records
  • General office administration
Personal Qualities
  • Excellent communication skills and approachable manner
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and follow procedures
  • Excellent and efficient administration skills, with a high attention to detail
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel & Word
  • The ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise workload
Training Requirements
As a Volunteer HR Administrator you will complete the following training:
  • Teesside Hospice mandatory training
  • Volunteer induction training
  • Any other training identified as appropriate to the role
Support And Supervision
Your first line of support and for any enquiries will be HR Staff to support you in your role.
Communications
The HR Staff will regularly provide you with any information updates, training opportunities and upcoming events appropriate to your role.
