Volunteer Stock Sorter – Teesside Hospice
Accountability: Deputy Head of Retail and Head of Retail
Location: Various across Teesside – Acklam, Coulby Newham, Great Ayton, Guisborough, Ingleby Barwick, Linthorpe, Marske, Norton, Redcar, Saltburn, Skelton, Stokesley, Thornaby, and Yarm
Time Commitment: Shops generally open 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday. Minimum of 2 hours per week preferred, discussed with Shop Manager.
DBS Check needed? No
Age Requirements: From 14 years old plus
Tasks:
- Preparing donated items for sale
- Using a clothes steamer to ensure clothes look their best
- Attaching labels and tags to donated items for easy browsing by customers
- Pricing of donations
- Identifying unsaleable donations for recycling
- Keeping the stock room organised and tidy
