Our client is a market-leading civil and structural engineering consultancy, and they are seeking a Structural Engineer to join their new office in Stockton-on-Tees. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering structural projects from concept through to completion.
Duties & Responsibilities of a Structural Engineer:
- Structural engineering design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Produce technical drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development and identify opportunities for growth.
The ideal experience of a Structural Engineer:
- Degree in civil or structural engineering (or equivalent).
- 1-5 years experience within an engineering design consultancy.
- Capability in structural design and assessment of concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures using UK Standards and Eurocodes.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Tekla Structural Designer (TSD), Excel, TEDDS, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Experience with specifying construction information, such as using NBS.
- Ability to complete structural condition surveys and reports to a high standard under tight deadlines.
