Are you a skilled Engineering Co-Ordinator / Maintenance Planner, with proven experience supporting a maintenance department within a fast paced site manufacturing environment? Are you looking to work for an established but continually growing company where you can continue to develop new skills and build on your career? The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the important role of detailed maintenance planning and record keeping is not disrupted by urgent day to day issues.
Key activities and responsibilities of a Engineering Co-Ordinator / Maintenance Planner:
- Operate and maintain the CMMS platform to schedule, track, and document all maintenance activities.
- Support spare parts inventory management, including data accuracy, and raising orders for high-value spares.
- Create, assign, and close work orders for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
- Ensure asset hierarchies, equipment records, and maintenance plans are kept accurate and up to date within the CMMS.
- Assist with planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks in collaboration with Maintenance Supervisors, and Technicians.
- Train maintenance staff on proper CMMS usage and support troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist with the roll out of Criticality based maintenance strategies across site.
- Ensure external service agreements are maintained in a timely manner.
- Ensure work schedules and priorities for embedded contractors are aligned to business need.
Skills & knowledge of a Engineering Co-Ordinator / Maintenance Planner:
- Technical diploma or equivalent experience in maintenance engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, MP2, Infor EAM, Fiix, etc.).
- Familiarity with maintenance workflows, spare parts systems, and plant equipment terminology.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, particularly Excel and Word).
- Basic knowledge of maintenance trades (mechanical, electrical, utilities).
- Experience in generating reports and dashboards using CMMS or BI tools.
