Teespro Recruitment are supporting a Multi-discipline engineering business who deliver complex energy projects across the UK and internationally. We’re looking to speak with experienced Project Planners who can take ownership of programme development and ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual, commercial, and delivery objectives.
We are specifically looking to speak with Project Planners from engineering, construction, infrastructure, or energy project environments - ideally Oil & gas related. This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation involved in multi-disciplinary engineering projects supporting the evolving energy and infrastructure sectors.
Role Overview
Develop and manage engineering and construction project programmes from bid stage through to project completion. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, commercial, and construction teams to ensure accurate planning, programme visibility, and effective risk management across projects.
Key Responsibilities of a Project Planner:
- Develop and maintain project baseline programmes covering engineering, procurement, and construction phases
- Produce resource-loaded schedules to support effective delivery planning
- Monitor progress against programme and identify critical path risks
- Provide programme reporting, updates, and mitigation strategies
- Support project teams with planning insight to maintain delivery against contractual milestones
- Work closely with internal teams and supply chain partners to manage dependencies and interfaces
- Ensure planning outputs align with NEC or JCT contract requirements
The ideal Project Planner will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project planning role within engineering or construction environments
- Strong knowledge of construction or infrastructure project delivery
- Understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel
- Degree or relevant qualification in engineering or construction (preferred)
- Experience within energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors advantageous
- EC&I bias (preferred)
