Job description

The School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law is seeking to appoint a full-time Senior Lecturer in Education (Initial Teacher Training Partnerships) (TSPP) to play a key role in the development and delivery of our initial teacher training portfolio. In this post, you will be responsible for developing new and enhancing existing partnerships with schools and colleges to ensure high-quality placement experiences for our ITT trainees.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to contribute to a growing, innovative portfolio of initial teacher training courses.

About you

We are seeking an individual with:

  • A post-graduate level qualification in a primary or secondary education subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • Significant experience in leading partnership working across a range of schools and/or colleges.
  • Clear and demonstrable understanding of compliance requirements for teacher training placements and mentoring responsibility.
  • Some experience of leading or contributing to ITT Ofsted inspections would be valuable.
