Job description

We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our Professional Services department, supporting the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law and the School of Arts and Creative Industries. We are looking for a highly organised individual, who has experience of working in a dynamic environment and enjoys working as part of a team. In this role, you’ll primarily support our Initial Teacher Training provision, working to an annual schedule and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate student records and ensuring students are supported through their academic journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative and supportive team, where your contributions will directly enhance the experience of both students and staff. If you take pride in delivering excellent customer service, have strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you.

If you don’t quite meet the criteria for this post, please keep an eye on our job vacancies page—other opportunities may be a better match for your skills and experience.

Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post will not qualify for university sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.

Interviews will take place on 2 November 2026.

What we offer you

  • A holiday entitlement of 185 hours (25 days), increasing to 28 and 30 days after 3- and 5-years’ service respectively, plus bank holidays (pro rata for fractional posts).
  • Additional leave over the Christmas and New Year period during the Christmas closure
  • Special leave to support a range of circumstances.
  • Hybrid working arrangements: 60 percent On Campus 40 percent Working from home.
  • Flexi time scheme
  • A variety of provision to support staff with personal development and recognition.
  • A range of family friendly benefits
  • An employee benefits platform which provides discounts with 350+ retailers and access to health and wellbeing resources
