You’ll be confident delivering both theoretical and practical aspects of the curriculum and able to engage learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities. As this is an hourly-paid role, we particularly welcome applications from industry professionals seeking flexible work that fits around existing employment, consultancy or retirement plans. Previous teaching experience is desirable, although applications from suitably qualified industry experts keen to move into education are also encouraged.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Current industry experience and a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, practices and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan, prepare and deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and promoting a positive learning environment.
