Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Colourist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair colouring techniques and a flair for creativity, ensuring that each client leaves feeling their best. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage store operations effectively. As a Colourist, you will play a vital role in enhancing our clients\' experiences while also mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert hair colouring services tailored to individual client needs and preferences.
  • Maintain an organised and welcoming front desk area, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application to enhance the client experience.
  • Mentor junior staff members, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their professional growth.
  • Manage store inventory and supplies, ensuring that all products are well-stocked and presented attractively.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, and providing personalised recommendations.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in hair colour techniques and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Colourist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
  • Strong skills in barbering, hair colouring, and related beauty services.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Experience in front desk operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to mentor and guide less experienced staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of eyelash extension application and makeup techniques is desirable but not essential.
