Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands‑on Caretaker to support the day‑to‑day running of a busy school in Wolverhampton. This is a vital role within the school community, ensuring the site remains safe, secure, well‑maintained, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily maintenance, security, and general operation of the school site
  • Carry out minor repairs and general DIY tasks; experience in painting and decorating is desirable but not essential

  • Liaise with external contractors and monitor work carried out on‑site
  • Support school events, including setting up rooms and managing site logistics
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and compliance checks

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a similar role
  • Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g. fire safety, Legionella)
  • Highly organised, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Enhanced DBS check (essential)
  • Available for an immediate start
  • UK resident and eligible to work in the UK
