Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–2:00pm; Friday, 6:00am–1:30pm

We are seeking a proactive and dependable Site Manager to join a school in the Tamworth area.

This hands‑on role is vital to ensuring the smooth running, safety, security, and general maintenance of the school site.

The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff and pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, security, and general upkeep of the school site.
  • Carry out minor repairs, general DIY tasks, and gritting when required.
  • Manage and monitor Health & Safety compliance, including fire alarm testing, Legionella checks, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure the site is clean, safe, secure, and fully operational.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.
  • Support school events with setup, breakdown, and general site logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Key Requirements
  • Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a similar facilities/maintenance role.
  • Strong maintenance and practical DIY skills.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements, including Fire Safety and Legionella.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage workload independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must hold a current Enhanced DBS.
  • Must be available to start on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.
