Location: Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding area
Hours: 9 am – 5 pm. Monday to Friday (37.5)
Pay: £13.63P/H
Start: ASAP
Contract: rolling contract
Overview
We are looking for aHome Safety Systems Installer to join agrowing team. This role involves installing and setting up telecare devices in customers’ homes, helping vulnerable and elderly individuals remain safe and independent.
The work is straightforward, with full training provided. Typical installations involve plugging in telecare equipment, connecting devices to the customer’s Wi-Fi network, testing functionality, and ensuring the user understands how the system works.
Key Duties
- Install and set up telecare equipment in customers’ homes
- Connect devices to home Wi-Fi networks and test functionality
- Carry out basic fault-finding and equipment checks
- Ensure all equipment is working correctly before leaving site
- Explain the system to service users and carers in a clear and friendly manner
- Complete installation records and documentation accurately
- Provide a professional, patient, and compassionate service at all times
Requirements
No previous telecare experience is required as full training will be provided.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A friendly, professional, and reliable approach
- Basic confidence using smartphones, tablets, and Wi-Fi-connected devices
- The ability to work independently and manage their own schedule
- Hold DBS clearance or be eligible
- A full UK driving licence
