About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and people-focused Employment Advisor to join their friendly and busy Employment Team. In this role, you will work 1:1 with participants on employment programmes—building strong relationships, understanding individual needs, and supporting them with clear action plans to move closer to sustainable employment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the programme meets its performance targets while making a real difference to people within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage proactively with local communities, employers, Jobcentre Plus, and partner organisations.
- Conduct participant interviews, ensuring eligibility and suitability for the programme.
- Identify barriers to employment and signpost individuals to appropriate support services.
- Support participants with goal setting, monitoring progress, and keeping them motivated.
- Source internal and external support such as training, health & wellbeing services, and digital inclusion resources.
- Deliver employability sessions, including job search support and interview preparation.
- Gather and respond to participant feedback to improve the service.
- Build relationships with employers to source work placements, trials, volunteering opportunities, and job vacancies.
- Job match and pre‑screen participants for suitable opportunities.
- Provide aftercare and retention support to help participants sustain employment.
