About the Role
A well-established independent secondary school in North West London is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant SENDCo & Learning Support Assistant to join its committed team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting students with additional learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential. Working closely with the SEND team, teaching staff, and senior leaders, you will play a key role in delivering targeted interventions and providing effective support for students across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the SENDCo in coordinating provision for students with additional learning needs
- Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
- Assist in monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement support strategies
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to the development of personalised learning plans and support programmes
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have experience supporting young people with SEND or additional learning needs
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be organised, proactive, and able to work independently
- Have a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning
- Be committed to supporting pupils both academically and pastorally
- Possess a positive and flexible approach to working within a school environment
