Role Overview
Our client is seeking a proactive and dependable School Site Manager to join a school in the Tamworth area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and general maintenance of the school premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, security, and smooth running of the school site.
- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and general DIY tasks.
- Manage and monitor Health & Safety compliance, including fire alarm testing, Legionella checks, and risk assessments.
- Ensure the site is clean, safe, and fully operational for pupils and staff.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and external service providers as required.
- Support school events, including setup and logistical coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and compliance activities.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a School Caretaker or Site Manager (school-based experience preferred).
- Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills.
- Good knowledge of compliance and Health & Safety regulations (e.g., COSHH, Fire Safety, Legionella, Asbestos).
- Reliable, organised, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must hold a current Enhanced DBS and be available for an immediate start.
- Must be a UK resident and eligible to work in the UK.
