School Caretaker — Finchley
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (short-term cover)
Hours: Monday–Friday- one of the following shifts: 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm
Start: ASAP
Role:
A busy school in Finchley is looking for a reliable, hands‑on School Caretaker to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment.
Duties include:
- Moving furniture and portering.
- Preparing classrooms.
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
- Keeping buildings and grounds safe and presentable.
- Setting up rooms for school events.
- Responding to maintenance issues.
- Supporting the existing caretaking team.
Requirements:
- Previous caretaker, maintenance, facilities or site-management experience.
- Good practical/DIY skills.
- Understanding of health & safety.
- Able to work independently.
- Reliable, organised and proactive.
- Good communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Available to start immediately.
