We are seeking a reliable, proactive and practical School Site Manager to support the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy school in Surbiton.
This is an important role within the school, responsible for helping to maintain a safe, secure, clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will be practical, organised and able to work independently using their own initiative.
You will take pride in maintaining high standards across the school site and ensuring that the premises remain safe, secure, well maintained and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site.
- Carry out regular site inspections and identify maintenance, health and safety or security issues.
- Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
- Carry out basic DIY tasks, including painting and decorating where required.
- Ensure the school premises remain clean, safe and fully operational.
- Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance, compliance, health and safety and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Liaise with external contractors and oversee works carried out on site.
- Monitor contractor access and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
- Assist with setting up rooms and facilities for school events and activities.
- Support the school's compliance procedures, including fire safety, asbestos awareness and Legionella awareness.
- Report maintenance, health and safety and security concerns promptly.
- Respond appropriately to urgent site issues and support the school's emergency procedures.
- Work closely with school management and staff to ensure the premises operate effectively.
