Contract: Fixed Term (minimum one academic year)

Our client is a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Cumbria (NR Kendal) and they are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time opportunity supporting pupils within a mixed Year 5/6 class. The position is initially offered on a fixed-term basis for at least one academic year, with the potential for extension.

The Role

  • Support teaching and learning across the Year 5/6 classroom.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to accelerate progress.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the wider school team.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Be patient, caring and adaptable.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
  • Be committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
