We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in the Torquay area. This full-time, temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of students aged 11–18.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and effective Design & Technology lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons tailored to a wide range of abilities
- Support and monitor pupil progress to help students achieve their full potential
- Work with students with SEN, particularly MLD and ASD (preferred)
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
- Promote positive behaviour and a safe, supportive classroom environment
Essential Requirements
- Recent experience teaching Design & Technology (SEN experience preferred)
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching students aged 11–18
- Hold a Current Enhanced DBS
- Availability to start immediately
